What is DermShield technology?
DermShield technology is a proprietary technology developed by NOON Aesthetic scientists to allow for high concentrations of skin care ingredients with a low pH that do not cause irritation.
To get the maximum results from your skin care products, a high concentration of therapeutic ingredients at a low pH is required. However, the problem with high concentrations of ingredients with a low pH, including AHAs, BHAs, Retinols (just to name a few) is that is usually causes unwanted side effects, such as itching, stinging, redness, swelling and discomfort. This is where DermShield comes in. This technological advancement allows for higher concentrations with little to no irritation.
How does it work?
DermShield temporarily inhibits the chemical-sensitive receptors in the skin (called Type C Nociceptors) which are responsible for triggering neurogenic inflammation.
By inhibiting neurogenic inflammation, DermShield™ dramatically reduces the development, incidence, and severity of skin irritation and redness.
This is what allows NOON to significantly increase the concentration of active ingredients without triggering adverse side effects such as excessive irritation and redness.
