Laser Hair Removal
Laser Diode is considered the gold standard for laser hair removal as it can treat light and dark skin tones as well as fine and course hair types.
HOW IT WORKS
Light pulses are released into the skin which are attracted to the melanin (pigment) in the hair and skin. This light gets absorbed to generate heat.
Hair generally has more melanin than skin, therefore most of the heat is generated in the hair follicle, leaving skin unharmed.
The heat created from the light damages the hair follicle beyond repair, and as a result, losing potential for regrowth.
After the recommended number of treatments, there is a permanent reduction of hair growth. The ideal client for hair reduction is someone who has excessive hair growth in certain areas or all over the body. The Alpha laser can also help to improve razer bumps caused by shaving.
There are many hair removal technologies on the market today. Alpha's unique system allows custom treatments using MILO, a melanin reader to determine how much melanin is present in the skin.
Wavelengths from Alpha's diode laser are considered the gold standard because they absorb 808nm into the skin, effectively reaching the hair follicle and destroying it.
Only hairs in the Anagen phase can be effectively treated with laser hair removal, however, not all hairs are in the Anagen phase at the same time, therefore it is important to get the recommended number of treatments to maximize hair reduction.
